Hot Dog Worms’ Nest
A great pre-trick-or-treat feast: a mound of crispy, oven-baked curly fries topped with worm-like hot dog strips dotted and drizzled with ketchup and mustard.
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
12 ounces | McCain® Seasoned Curly Fries |
4 each | hot dogs |
4 tablespoons | ketchup, optional—add blue and green food color to make dark/black |
2 tablespoons | mustard, optional—add blue food color to make green |
Directions
While oven is heating, cut each uncooked hot dog in half lengthwise. Then cut each half into quarters, set aside.
Bake McCain® Seasoned Curly Fries according to package directions.
When fries are nearly done, place a medium non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add strips of hot dog stirring frequently until heated through approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
Divide curly fries into four equal mound-shaped portions on plates.
Divide hot dog strips equally and arrange over curly fries to look like worms.
Drizzle dots of ketchup and mustard over hot dogs and fries, serve and enjoy.
