Seared Tuna and Wasabi Drizzled Fries
Asian flavors combine with a western favorite to make a truly unique dish your family and friends will love.
Ingredients
Soy Ginger Marinated Tuna |

1 cup | Soy sauce |
½ cup | Rice vinegar |
2 tablespoons | Ginger, grated |
1 tablespoon | Sesame oil |
6 ounces | Ahi tuna steak |
1 teaspoon | Olive oil |

Creamy Teriyaki Sauce |
|
1 tablespoon | Teriyaki sauce |
3 tablespoons | Mayonnaise |

4 ounces | McCain® Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries |
1 teaspoon | Olive oil |
1 teaspoon or to taste | Wasabi powder |
4 | Avocado slices |
2 tablespoons | Scallions, bias-sliced |
½ teaspoon | Sesame seeds, toasted |

Directions
To make marinade, combine ingredients for soy ginger marinade in zip top bag, add tuna, zip bag closed and marinate under refrigeration for 3-4 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 450°F.
To make sauce, add all ingredients in a bowl: whisk to combine.
Bake the fries according to package instructions.
In sauté pan over medium-high heat, add oil and tuna. Sear tuna steak 3-4 minutes per side or until cooked medium-rare. Let rest and slice.
When fries are hot from the oven sprinkle with wasabi powder and toss until evenly coated.
Plate wasabi fries, top with avocado slices, tuna, scallions and sesame seeds drizzle with creamy teriyaki sauce.
