In 1957 Wallace and Harrison McCain, along with their brothers Robert and Andrew, founded McCain^® Foods. Today, with the hard work of over 20,000 employees across six continents, one in every three fries in the world is a McCain fry.

Since our humble beginnings, McCain has expanded our offerings and our reach.

McCain Foods USA, Inc. places a good deal of importance on the well-being of its employees, offering competitive and comprehensive benefit programs to employees and their families. The McCain benefits program offers coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability and flexible spending accounts.

Health & Wellness

Health for Real Life is a wellness program available to all McCain U.S. employees and their families, encouraging them to take small steps towards better health. BE STRONG offers employees the opportunity to earn rewards for taking healthy actions, ranging from activity tracking, to participating in health coaching or joining one of the bi-annual company-wide challenges. In addition, all U.S. locations are tobacco free, and some have onsite fitness facilities available.

Retirement Plan

McCain offers a retirement plan with a wide variety of investment options to help employees better save and plan for their retirement. The McCain Foods USA, Inc. Retirement Plan requires all participants to contribute 3% of their annual compensation, and McCain matches this 3% contribution dollar-for-dollar. Participants also have the option of contributing an additional 1-50% of earnings as they wish, and McCain matches these contributions up to 3% as well. In total, McCain matches employee contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 6%.

Work / Life Benefits

McCain offers paid time off each year to give employees the time they need in order to achieve a healthy work/life balance. Paid time off is earned on a monthly basis, and upon starting with McCain, employees are eligible to earn 20 days per year. McCain employees also enjoy 10 holidays each year.
