Lattice-Cut Sliders

These mini sliders are a burger and fries all in one! They might look small, but they’re deliciously gratifying and can be served as lunch, dinner or the perfect party appetizer.

Makes 6 to 8

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

¼ cup bread crumbs

2 tbsp barbecue sauce

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp. pepper

¼ tsp salt

24 McCain® Seasoned Waffle Fries

3 slices Cheddar cheese, quartered

12 leaves Boston Bibb lettuce

12 slices plum tomato

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450˚F. Gently mix together beef, bread crumbs, barbecue sauce, egg, garlic, pepper and salt. Divide the mixture into 12 portions; shape each portion into ½ -inch thick patties. Transfer to foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until meat is no longer pink inside. Top each mini burger with cheese; return to oven for 1 or 2 minutes or until melted.

  2. Meanwhile, prepare McCain® Seasoned Waffle Fries according to package directions.

  3. Sandwich each burger with lettuce and tomato between McCain® Seasoned Waffle Fries.

Tip: Serve with ketchup, mustard and relish.

Alternatively, grill burgers if desired.
